Get a floppy (not a CD-R) and unzip this file onto it. It is a real life-saver when your system crashes and you have to re-install your OS from a CD (or if you just want to have a boot disk with CD-ROM support). It installs ATAPI (ATA Packet Interface) drivers for just about any IDE CD-ROM drive (CD-RW drives included).
